Let Your Light Shine!

Happy Washed Away Wednesday! Good morning protected by God! Exodus 14 tells the historical event of the calling, leading and liberating of Israel from the old life to a life with God. There was a miracle needed that would bring fear at first to the Israelites, but would also be the demise of their past captors. (Baptism) They needed to have faith and trust God to defend them against the sin nature that once owned them. Today our Christian walk is no different. As we come to a decision to leave our past behind and follow Jesus, our past tries to trap us and bring us back under bondage or slavery. One thing is certain, we must trust God to forgive, lead and wash our past away. This is His work. As miraculously as not one Egyptian soldier was left when the waters of the red (blood) sea came crashing down on them, so not one sin from our past is left when Christ's blood washes us clean. We need not defend ourselves against the accusers, the LORD is your defense. Let's not lean on our own understanding, but on every Word from God! The peace of God which passes all understanding, shall keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Today, let's see the great work of the LORD, fear Him, and believe on the LORD and Jesus.
